Q: What do students need to bring to the testing site?

A: Students taking a paper/pencil exam must bring a CURRENT GOVERNMENT ISSUED PHOTO ID and two number 2 pencils.

Q: What are the requirements to take the NAPT national certification exam?

A: Student must be at least 18 and have a High School Diploma, or equivalency, as well as one of the following:

  • Student must have worked within the last year in the field of certification for a minimum of one year.
  • OR
  • Student must have attended an NAPT approved Phlebotomy Training & Certification program.

Q: How soon will students receive exam results?

A:  Score results are considered confidential and are sent directly to students along with applicable certificates and certification cards. This takes approximately 5 days, an email will also be sent upon test correction.

Q: Can I retake the test if I do not pass?

A: Yes, you will need to wait a period of 5 days and re-submit a new application and there will be an additional charge.

Q: What do I receive upon completion?

A: Once the test has been corrected you will be mailed a certificate.

Q: How often do I have to renew my certification? And can I pay for more than one year at a time?

A: NAPT renewal must be made every two year.
